I met Heidi Donelon during my last trip to Dublin. This woman is in love with whiskey and on her own she has ridden a great whiskey route through Ireland Worthy and very keep in mind if you visit the emerald island during the next months.

Heidi's work life has almost always been linked to whiskey. Only once did she try to find a more stable job but the office walls made her escape quickly. For the past three years he has been making trips to Scotland and to different countries where whiskey is made to adapt a whiskey route in Ireland.

The route of Whiskey Trail Heidi Donelon has made up the four main distilleries in Ireland - Jameson, Tullamore, Locke's and Cooley - plus an extensive list of pubs with authentic whiskey collections and a better atmosphere. These pubs are scattered around the island -Cork, Dublin, Galway, Sligo, Limerick, Offaly, among other counties- and offers an interesting travel proposal around the island with the aim of enjoying the good whiskey and the incomparable atmosphere of the Authentic pubs in Ireland.

During the talk I told him that he only needs to tie a couple of cables to make this project a guaranteed success: a van to take tourists and a Bed & Breakfast network close to the destinations of the route. Without a doubt, it would be an interesting proposal for all those lovers of whiskey and golf who would see their best passions united on a single island. He told me that he was the second person who told him the same thing and I am sure that right now he will be seriously considering it.

If you don't have whiskey, I'm sure that after hearing Heidi's descriptions, you'll change your mind. The woman told us about the tones, textures and flavors that whiskey shows on our palate. He used metaphors like "she is an explosive woman dressed in leather" to tell us about the 12-year-old Tullamore and I think I even saw how the same "woman" whipped with a whip while tasting the delicious liquid.
